Everyone’s love story is different. Some people meet at college, some online, some are set up, and some… meet at a friend’s wedding. About 2 years ago, Carla’s college friends (who happened to Kyle’s high school friends) got married. Little did Carla know that she was about to meet the man of her dreams. Her mom, however, thought this was the perfect time for her to meet her man. Just ask her! She told Carla to come back with a husband. A mother’s intuition is a scary thing!
After dating long distance for a while, Carla & Kyle are now married!! I could not be any more thankful to have photographed their joy-filled day! They were surrounded by so many friends and loved ones! You could tell these people worshipped the ground that Carla & Kyle walked on. It was so sweet to see them love on the couple!
Carla & I went to the same church since Kindergarten, graduated High School together, were on the same team for our senior business capstone project (and won!), and graduated from college together! It seemed so right when she asked if I’d take her wedding photos! *Fun fact, the brains of our capstone team was the wedding videographer AND the groom at the wedding where Carla & Kyle met. Small world, huh?!*
The venue for the wedding was the Historic Belknap Mill in Laconia, NH. This place has all the New England character you could ever want! The brick walls of the mill, the distressed beams in the reception hall, the bridge over the river, the white birch tree, the huge white gazebo, and the brick walkways- this place has it all! Plus, if you cross the street and round the corner you will find a restored theatre and the coziest coffee shop filled with even more New England character! You’ll just have to scroll down to see it all for yourself!
