On the hottest June day in Indianapolis, Carla & Kyle cuddled up near a fountain in the shade and shared the sweetest laughs and smiles. Civic Square in Carmel was a suggestion from my brother who also lives in Indianapolis. We were so thankful for his suggestion because it offered multiple backdrops, lots of shade, and a couple fountains that were quite refreshing when the breeze picked up and gave us a misting!
The original plan was to walk the Canal in Indy in search of rich textures and emerald vines. Because of the extreme heat, we opted for a location that didn’t require as much walking and we couldn’t have been more happy with where we ended up!
We started off the session with a bang when I tried to give Carla a piece of creative direction and referred to her as “Kyla.” This made for some natural expressions once I told them this could be their celebrity couple name. I'm so thankful for couples who can laugh with me when my brain turns to mush!
Carla and I graduated High School together, completed & won our senior business capstone project together in college, and then graduated college together. How fitting that we got to celebrate her engagement to Kyle and also have the opportunity to shoot their wedding in August!
Even better than all these things was being able to see how much Kyle adores his bride to be.

These two are enough to make even the Grinch’s heart grow a few sizes.
Plus, they are so full of life and laughter! We had the best time “double dating” with them during their session and are beyond excited to hang out again at their wedding in August back in New Hampshire!
